Poppy Mosse

Pluralistic Psychotherapeutic Counsellor

About Poppy

My Approach

I am a pluralistic psychotherapeutic counsellor, with my work rooted in person-centred therapy. At the heart of this approach is the belief that everyone deserves to feel heard, understood and accepted just as they are.

While person-centred therapy forms the foundation of my work, I may also draw on approaches from other therapeutic models, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic therapy, when it feels helpful. A pluralistic approach means that therapy is not “one size fits all”. Instead, we work together to find the approach that best supports you and what you would like to gain from our time together.

A Space Just for You

I aim to create a safe, supportive and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences at your own pace. Together, we can gently work through the things that may be causing distress, difficulty or uncertainty in your life.

Sometimes we simply need somewhere to talk openly — a place that feels private, safe, and where we know we will be truly listened to. Even with the best intentions, friends and family cannot always provide that kind of space. Therapy can offer that space for you.

Sessions

I offer in-person counselling in Newbury and Thatcham, as well as online sessions for those who live further away or prefer the flexibility of meeting remotely.

I also offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation, with no obligation. This gives us a chance to briefly talk and see whether working together feels right for you.

If you decide you would like to continue, we can arrange your first session.
